MegsCreatiVentures
Handmade for modern living. Honoring Indian heritage.
MCV was born from a love of making things. What started as a collection of creative hobbies — pouring candles, sewing, painting, designing, and experimenting with anything that sparked inspiration — slowly grew into something bigger: a way to celebrate the beauty of Indian heritage while creating pieces that feel at home in modern, everyday life.
MCV is about making handmade home goods, self-care products, art, and accessories inspired by Indian culture, Desi-American life, and the little things that make a place feel like home.
Where Heritage Meets Everyday Life
Growing up between cultures means carrying pieces of both with you. Whether it’s the smell of sandalwood or jasmine, the muggulu/kolam outside a doorway, the glow of a deep (diva) during festivals, or colors and textures of Indian fabrics, the familiar rituals, foods, patterns, and memories somehow make you feel at home no matter where you are.
MCV takes inspiration from those details and reimagines them for modern life. Sometimes that means a candle inspired by a familiar scent. Sometimes it's a kolam transformed into a piece of art, a coaster, or a puzzle. Other times it's a colorful scrunchie, a hand-sewn pouch, or simply something beautiful made because the idea was too much fun not to try.
Not every piece is overtly traditional, and that's intentional.
MCV lives in the space between heritage and the present — Indian and American, traditional and playful, nostalgic and new — Just like we do.
Made by Hand, in Small Batches, Eco-friendly.
Behind MCV is one maker - Meghana - with far too many creative hobbies — and no intention of choosing just one.
Making in small batches allows me to remain creative, thoughtful, and personal, all while not creating waste. It also allows me the freedom to constantly evolve, incorporating new ideas and feedback in real-time.
No matter the creation, I try to remain as close to zero-waste as possible. Even scraps and cleaning materials get reused/recycled in a way that doesn’t contribute to junk in our landfills.
A Modern Desi Maker Studio
MCV isn't meant to fit neatly into a single product category.
It's a creative studio built around a feeling: the joy of making, the comfort of home, and the experience of carrying your heritage with you while creating a life of your own.
Some pieces draw directly from Indian traditions. Others celebrate the wonderfully specific experience of being Desi-American. And some are simply beautiful, useful things made with care.
Together, they tell the story of a culture that isn't frozen in the past, but lived, loved, adapted, laughed about, and carried forward every day.
From My Hands to Your Home
Whether something from MCV reminds you of home, reconnects you with a piece of your heritage, makes you laugh because only another Desi would understand, or simply makes your space a little more beautiful, I hope it brings you joy.
Thank you for supporting a small handmade business, following along with my many creative adventures, and giving the things I make a place in your life.
Made by hand. Inspired by heritage. Created for the life we're living now.
